Waiting for "The Call"

Sarah is T minus 10 days and counting from due date.  I carry around my phone ALL the time (even to the bathroom).  I am trying to stay caught up on the laundry (we are either the cleanest or dirtiest people in Wake Forest).  I have my luggage and tote bag ready to load at anytime. I even made a list of things to take with me so I all I have to  do is check it off as I pack.  Flight information is in my pocketbook.  I have 5 days of emergency substitute plans ready just in case Baby Blake comes before my school track out time begins (February 3rd).

That being said.....I just got a call from Sarah. She had a regular doctor's visit today.  They "checked" her and found that she is 3 centimeters dilated!!!!!  WooHoo!!!  She's not in labor but Baby Blake is low and in position.  Maybe he'll come early after all. (Can you tell I'm just a bit excited!!!)

I'll continue to keep my phone with me at all times.

Another Addition :)

Gregory and Danielle gave us a very exciting Christmas gift!  They gave us a digital photo frame. Gregory plugged it in to demonstrate how to work the remote.  They had already loaded a few pictures (one of the family at Sarah and Ryan's wedding, Tiffany and Clint's picture at the military ball, Gregory and Danielle's picture at Duke Garden)  the last picture they had loaded was an ultrasound picture...  They are expecting!!!!!!  You can imagine the thrill of everyone in the family learning about another addition to The Dixon Family!!!!  I can't begin to say how happy we are for them and our family.  They have been working on this little project of quiet a while now.  With lots of prayers and practice (haha), they were granted the precious gift of a baby!!!

Ready for Baby Blake's Arrival

Since the holidays are over, Greg and I have made flight arrangements for me to travel to LA in February.  This trip is planned for...you guessed it, Baby Blake's arrival!  We don't know exactly when he'll make his debut so I got a one-way ticket on February 3rd (remember, due date is the 4th).  IF he comes early, I'll change my plans.  I'll be taking track out days from school while I'm in LA with Sarah.  I was able to get approval to move my days off to make 2 consecutive weeks away from school.  Having 2 weeks track out for me is a rare treat and this event is especially one not to be missed!!!

I plan on enjoying each moment I'm with The Larsen Family. Taylor and Greg are disappointed they can't come down for the arrival.  Flying to LA is very costly!  They will fly down for Blake's blessing the end of February (I plan on going back then too). 

We eagerly await to hear from Sarah and Ryan of any changes between now and February 3rd.  What an exciting time!!!!!

HaPpY New Year!!!

Welcome 2012! 2011 was a great year. Lots of wonderful events happened in the lives of the Dixon Family.  We look forward to the new year as we await the arrival of Baby Blake (due February 4th).  We also got the news that Gregory and Danielle are expecting (due date sometime the end of July).  Clint is going to Ranger school.

 So thankful and full of gratitude as I "count my many blessings...."
