Neglected Blog....oops!

Yes, I feel just awful for neglecting my blog!  Life as the Dixons has just gotten way too BUSY!  Taylor is now at ECU (Go Purple and Gold!).  Woe, Ho it's a Pirates Life for Tay!  Lottie is in the nursing home.  It's been 5 months now.  She stable. Some days are better than others.  Tiff and Tristan visited NC in August.  What a nice visit we had.  Loved snuggling with Tristan.  Most of the family were able to get a day of visiting in while they were home.  Daddy suffered a heartattach in August.  He's stable but weak.  I worry about him and mama taking care of him.  She must have more patience than me.
Ryan and Greg have joined a bowling league.  I think they are having a BLAST!

I have been tinkering with some photo collages.  Hopefully, this will make up for being so slack with the blog.  I'm definitely going to try to do better in the future!

Even though we've been busy.....we are definitely blessed!

Pre-graduation pics (June 10, 2013)

Post graduation

Sarah took some beautiful Senior pictures of Tay at the pond and at the seminary.

These are just a few....didn't Sarah do a good job and isn't Tay just beautiful:)

After all the Senior stuff this year, Sarah, Ryan and Blake decided to honor Taylor with a graduation party.

(more party pics will be added soon)

Donnie and Dana were there, Cindy Russell came and of course, The Larsens (hopefully, I can get pics of them)!  They were outstanding hosts.  I know Taylor will always remember this celebration party.  We appreciated it so very much.

Family Time

It is a rare occassion when I'm actually able to get the family together.  After many, many attempts, Greg and I were able to get Gregory's family and Sarah's family over for a day of good food and fun.  It was a beautiful day outside so we played corn hole, Hope and Blake enjoyed riding in the wagon (Blake even enjoyed pushing the wagon), they also enjoyed the Little Tykes car.
(May 2013)

It was a GREAT day and Greg and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Time with The McPhersons

I had the opportunity to spend some time with The McPhersons during my track out.  I went to Georgia to stay with Tiffany, Clint and Baby Tristan.  It was a time that I'll always treasure.  I'm so thankful for the bonding time I got with my new grandson.  It was also nice to spend some long overdue time with Tiffany.

Tiffany fell right into motherhood effortlessly.  She's a natural and Tristan is thriving.  I was able to go with them for his 2 week old check-up.  He weighed 8 lbs and 14 1/2 ounces!  They measured him on two scales to make sure it was an accurate reading.  That little stinker had gained more than a pound in 2 weeks.  Mommy's milk is definitely agreeing with him.  He's gaining and Tiff is losing.  She's already lost almost all her weight gain during the pregancy.

Greg and I tag-teamed in Georgia.  I came home this past Saturday (April 13th) and Greg went down to stay with them for a few days. He, like me, is really enjoying this time with them.

Tristin Cage McPherson is HERE

Tristin Cage McPherson is HERE!

We got "the" call that Tiffany was going to be induced on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:30 p.m.  Greg, Taylor and I hit the road to Atlanta, GA around noon.  We traveled 8 hours only stopping once to get gas and food.  We texted and talked with Tiffany by phone getting updates on her labor progress.
Taylor is excited to meeting Tristan and see Tiff and Clint.

We finally got to the hospital after a LONG drive to find Tiff slowing progressing in labor.

She's all smiles now.

Melonie, Debbi and I were in the delivery room during the labor/delivery.  Tiffany had a very difficult labor!  I've never seen anyone work as hard as she did to deliver Tristan.  He was lodged behind her pelvic bone.  It was very hard for me to see Tiff in such pain.  After 23+ hours of labor, Tristan Cage was finally born (March 29, 2013~Good Friday).

(7lbs 10 oz, 21" long)

Everyone wanted to their chance to meet him...

Welcome to the family Baby Tristan Cage.  Can't wait for you to meet the other family members.

Easter

Hope's picture after opening an Easter package from us.  Papa, Aunt T and I sent her a little white sweater and a card.  I think she was  really excited about  playing with all the paper:)

I love seeing pictures of the grandbabies!!!

This smile just melts my heart.

(We're still waiting on Baby Tristan's arrival.Tiff goes to the doctor at 11:00 this morning.  Geez...I'm so ready to get "the" call!  Hopefully, we'll be on our way to GA this afternoon.)
